Excellent alternative to regular sunscreen
This product is excellent!!!! I have very sensitive skin and most sunscreens turn my entire face red when I use them (I am allergic to anything that has any type of glycol or salicylate in it). This product does not turn my skin red in any way. It does not rub off at all like most other powders do.

I bought the All Clear color in a full size and there is a lot of powder in the tube. I am not that crazy about the brush that comes in this package because bristles keep breaking off and staying on my face (they are hard to remove), but they distribute the powder sufficiently. When using the brush, make sure the sliding brush protector snaps when you push it down in order to have the brush distribute the powder (you will see what I am talking about when looking at the product). The case is very portable and can easily be carried in a purse for touch ups.

However, I have a light medium skin tone and the All Clear casts a slightly pale sheen to my skin (which would be fine for my much lighter winter skin color since I live in So Cal and use sunscreen in the winter, but not for my summer skin color). If you are medium- or darker-skinned, you are better off trying the Perfectly Clear (medium skin tone) or the Almost Clear (darker skin tones) as they have some color to them and won't look so drastic compared to the All Clear alone on your skin. If you have paler skin, the All Clear should work just fine. If you are considering this product, I would recommend buying a sample of the three main colors (All Clear, Perfectly Clear, and Almost Clear) and trying them out to see which color(s) match your skin (it should look natural on you).

Fortunately, I bought the samples of Perfectly Clear and Almost Clear to try out in case the All Clear was too light for me, while the All Clear looks okay if I work a little to blend it in, I found that Perfectly Clear was a great color for my summer skin tone.

One other thing, remember that it is SPF 30, so if you are going to use this product and spend a significant amount of time in the sun, don't forget to reapply the product often (like you would for an SPF 30 lotion) because the protection will break down faster with more sun exposure.

Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone considering using it. Even though it is very expensive, it is worth it and is a more viable option for me to use sunscreen without having my face turn red. I will be buying this product again.

THE BEST
If you want to protect your skin, hands down this is the best product. It provides full coverage without the annoyances of a lotion...it's not greasy, won't drip in eyes, it's immediate (don't have to wait 20 minutes), it's waterproof, sweat-proof and kids are guaranteed to complain less about this than traditional lotions. It also has cooling properties in it to bring skin temperatures down when out in the sun.

Powder Sunscreen
The powder sunscreen works well. It feels the same on my face as my regular face powder.

Outshine Bareminerals
I really love the convenience of the Colorescience Foundation brush. It is compact enough to slip into an evening bag so touch-ups on-the-go are a breeze. While it is more than double the cost of the Bareminerals foundation, its packaging can't be beat - finally a mess-free way to apply mineral foundation! The texture of the Colorescience make-up also feels a lot smoother and it covers up my acne scars beautifully. However, if cost is an issue, I would purchase the Colorescience brush and then simply refill with the Bareminerals foundation. I would purchase this again in a heartbeat.

Excellent Product

Convenient Sunscreen applicator
I usually don't wear any foundation so I apply this on top of my moisturizer. This product is great you just have to apply it evenly. The combination of color pigments is just right for my skintone.

Must have redness concealer
This is a green concealer. Green concealers are meant to be used for redness, red spots, blemishes, acne, you name it. That is because the color green neutralizes the redness in the skin.

Now, this concealer is unique in its category because it belongs to a line which specializes in concealing flawed skin (Dermablend). I use it before applying foundation. Some concealers can be used before or after, but with this concealer I do not believe that is possible. Remember it is green so you don't want to have green spots all over your face. Also, that's why you you have to be sure that you blend it well before applying the foundation. Wait a couple of minutes for it to dry and then apply foundation over your face.

What an incredible sunscreen!!!
I just took a cruise in January & decided I would try the Colorescience All Clear mineral SPF 30 sunscreen for my face, neck & ears, instead of globbing on the creamy stuff like I always do....Wow, what an awesome idea! I love it! It's so easy to toss in your beach bag. It's extremely water-resistant & protected me like you wouldn't believe. It's totally clear & can be re-applied as needed with a few brush strokes. I won't ever go to the beach or pool again without this handy brush! Word to the wise......once you own the brush, keep buying the refills to fill it up, because each refill contains almost 2 x the original amount. What a savings! the best sunscreen out there
This is an amazing product. I live in a very warm climate and I'm outside all day. I put this sunscreen on under my powder everyday, and I never burn. It doesn't irritate, it doesn't leave that typical greasy film most sunscreens leave behind, and it doesn't get in your eyes when you sweat. The best part is its easy to apply and I just throw it in my purse for emergencies. I even put it on my daughters face, it's so much easier than trying to get a cream on her. I love the fact that it doesn't have harmful chemicals in it. I would definitely purchase this again. I would recommend buying the refill as well, to save on shipping costs. Definitely worth the money!

Best choice of sunscreen I ever made.
Not only is this the best daily sunscreen I have ever found. Not only is it wonderful and has made my tiny freckles near my nose nearly go away, it makes my skin like cream. I have acne and oil issues with my skin and since I have started using this, it has made my acne clear up and my skin texture be smoother. I love it. Now I need to see if it comes in higher spf for when I actually spend time outdoors.

Good but equal alternatives are available for much less $$
Liner brushes 101: You have the standard liner brush, much like the brush you'd find inside a pot of liquid liner. Then you have the thin angled brush which is good for dense creamy products, powders, and the brow. Then you have the pencil brush which is good for a thicker line. Finally you have the bent liner brush which, ugly as it may seem, once you use it you'll never go back to the standard liner or angled brush for liquid products.

Lining with this brush is a dream. You have precision and control AND since it is bent you can also SEE with the eye you are lining. It's a beautiful thing.

Smashbox makes fantastic brushes. But you know what? You can get a brush just like this for about $7 or $8 at Target and even cheaper from other retailers if you are willing to accept a brand other than Smashbox. I have this brush and I also have one from Crown and another one from Sonia Kashuk. They're IDENTICAL except for the color of the handle. Just saying :)

eye liner pencil
Love this pencil - works with the smashbox liner - which is heavenly - this angle is the best and goes on so nice. I have a few to keep in purse with makeup and bathroom vanity, and at office. The best liner pencil I ever used.

Life-saving brush!!
I could NEVER apply eyeliner to my top lids until this brush. I tried pencils, liquid liners, other regularly shaped brushes and every eyeliner known to man. This brush is PERFECT. Dermablend Smooth Indulgence Concealer
I received this product last week and it's fantastic! I have tried numerous brands of corrective makeup for very dark undereye circles and small patches of vitiligo. The consistency is smooth and light and doesn't rub off or transfer to other objects, such as my cellphone. The coverage is flawless and light and I don't feel like I'm wearing a heavy mask. If you've been frustrated with the results of other cover creams, give this one a try, it's worth it!

Smashbox eyeshadow
These trio's by Smashbox are the best eyeshadows I have EVER used, and I have used loads in my time, the first time I used this I kept checking for creases, I have quite oily eyelids and there are no eyeshadows that never crease with the exception of Smashbox limitless lid cream.

These are by far the best eyeshadows, if you use eyeshadow you HAVE to have these, the colours are really beautiful too.

They're fab!
I love my Smashbox eyeshadow trios! I have two sets, Twilight and On Stage. The color is very rich and stays on all day. Each of my eyeshadow sets has on shimmery color that is perfect: not too sparkly, but distinctive enough that it makes my eyes pop very nicely. I highly recommend this product and will definitely buy some new color combos in the near future!

get glamorous with Smashbox !
This cream eyeliner is fabulous, and the best I have ever used; there is simply no comparison to other types of eyeliner, and it actually stays on for hours, and is so easy to apply. As demonstrated by the stunning Holly Mordini (company VP and makeup artist extraordinaire) on the QVC Smashbox TV presentations, you put some cream on a small brush, and from the outside of the eye, "walk the brush inwards along the lash-line" using gentle pressure, which is so nice to the sensitive skin in the eye area...no more stretching your lid and dragging a pencil over it !
You can also smudge it if you like the smoky effect, within the minute the cream takes to set.

Smashbox products were created by Dean and Davis Factor (grandsons of makeup legend Max), who started the company as a photo studio in Los Angeles in 1991, and developed it into an enterprise, and while they shoot the biggest and latest magazine covers, they also manufacture some of the best makeup products around, and package them in an attractive black on black containers.
I started buying Smashbox products a year ago, and now won't buy anything else. I also try not to miss the QVC presentations, because one can learn some nice tips from Holly, who is as smart as she is beautiful. Great products, great packaging, and great price value (this little container lasts a long time). Makeup sanity in the crazy world of fashion...who could ask for more !

Great for Full yet Natural Looking Coverage
Ive spent years trying different brands of foundation in every price range, and while Ive certainly gotten closer Ive never really found the right shade. My complexion has strong yellow undertones and areas of hyperpigmentation from both sun exposure and teenage acne. Did I mention the dark circles under my eyes?

I first tried Smashbox's High Definition Foundation L3-L4, which turned out to be a perfect match for my skin tone. I was thrilled with this, but unfortunately it didnt provide the full coverage that I was looking for. So I went to the next level of coverage which is the Camera Ready Full Coverage Foundation.

This is a cream foundation with a smooth consistency that does not feel greasy. It's easy to apply with fingetips and/or sponge, and provides natural looking full coverage which can be built on without making it look any less natural.
I do have very dry skin and before I apply this foundation its important to moisturize well and use some type of primer to prevent the foundation from settling into the creases on my face(which sounds worse than it really is). This is by no means a deal breaker because its easy to prevent with careful application. I would highly recommend that anyone with olive/sallow skin at least give this brand a try.

Something to think about if youre buying online:

In my opinion the color names are somewhat misleading. I have very olive skin, dark brown hair, and the color that I use is Light L3-L4, whereas if I were to go from experience Im usually at least in the medium range.

REASONS FOR NOT GIVING 5 STARS:

1. Expensive at $38 for only 0.34oz.

2. The enclosed brush is an odd, not a very practical choice for cream foundation, and I have yet to use it. It is a nice little brush though, so it makes me wonder how much it inflated the cost of final product


Overall a thumbs up except for the few things I mentioned.

Follow directions
I started using Dermablend foundation and concealer and couldn't figure out why it didn't last like they said it would - well, you have to buy this product to put over it to make it "seal". It works wonderfully. Unless you take off the makeup, it doesn't budge once you use this setting powder. Worth the cost.

Setting powder for dermablend is good
The Dermablend setting powder sets the foundation well. It certainly doesn't prevent it from coming off completely but it does work.

Healthy Looking Skin!
I switched to this foundation when my skin became too dry for my usual mineral foundation. I was dreading going back to a liquid foundation because I hate the feeling of makeup on my face. I came across this product at Sephora and it is by far the best liquid foundation I have ever owned. My skin feels perfect (not too dry, not oily!) and the coverage is fabulous. It doesn't even feel like I am wearing makeup. Skin looks fresh and natural - color matches perfectly, no lines on my face/neck! Hasn't made my sensitive, acne prone skin breakout once.

Best Foundation Ever
I love this foundation and highly recommend it to anyone looking for full coverage without feeling heavy or looking too made up. I use this with the primer and finish with the Halo Powder which leaves my skin looking airbrushed and beautiful. I have tried so many products and this one is without a doubt the best. Be careful how much you put on, as you control the amount of coverage, sometimes more is less. I am so glad to leave my mineral foundation behind as it filled in any fine lines on my face and made me look old. A good foundation, but....
This is a nice foundation with sheer coverage. The color is good - no visible lines in different light, etc. However, I really don't see much difference between this product and the L'Oreal Visible Lift foundation I was using before I purchased this. This is not so much a knock to Smashbox as it is a compliment to L'Loreal. When I run out of this product, I'll go back to using Visible Lift and save myself a little cash.

RAISING EYE BROWS
This is one item I'm seldom without. It's one of those things that you didn't know how much you'd like until you bought it.

An obvious advantage is the ease of having both products in one handy compact. I think the brow powder speaks for itself - simply select the color closest to your natural shade. This is not a silky fine powder. It has some substance to it so that it colors brows beautifully.

The pomade is light in weight and colorless. It keeps brows neat and gives them a subtle shine.

Brow Tech gives new meaning to "easy on the eyes," and it lasts and lasts which also makes it easy on the credit card.

the best brow product!!
this is worth the money. i have blonde hair and light eyebrows and i wanted something that would look natural and this is perfect (i use the taupe color). however it doesn't come with its own brush and its a little small, but with both the pomade and the powder together it is definitely worth the money. BEWARE the blonde color is very golden and won't look natural if your brows are more ashy colored. i was skeptical about getting the taupe because it looks darker than i wanted to go,but it goes on lighter than it looks. the pomade really keeps your brows in place. i don't think i will ever use another product for my brows!

Great Product
I have searched for the perfect brow product for years. This one is it. The combination of powder and wax creates the perfect 'natural' brow look. Get the Smashbox brow brush too. It's a must have tool.

WORKS WONDERFULLY
I have had for some time pretty bad broken veins, they are very unsightly but they are not raised. I put the Dermablend on and it looked like a miracle. It made my legs look like they were in their early 30's and I'm 75. I don't know what that person who rated it 2 stars was thinking, except maybe she had a BIG AND BAD Tatoo that nothing short of Surgery would help, and if its too big that won't even work

I think when they say it will cover tatoos, they mean light and small ones, the type MOST women get. Anyway if you want good coverage on your legs, ORDER THIS, or if you are close to a Macy's then try their samples,, you will see how well it works upfront then.

Very difficult to match product to skin
I bought this to cover veins on my legs, and while the product is fairly effective- and DEFINITELY does not run or fade away until you wash in shower with rag- it's nearly impossible to match the shade based on swatches shown online. I'd recommend buying from a store such as Ulta so you won't have to bother returning it- and if you do buy online, DON'T go through Beauty Bridge- I had to beg to return the first one even though it was unused and my attempt occurred within 24 hours of receipt.

I love Dermablend!
I have used dermablend for at least ten years and have told so many friends and family members about this great product. They have so many shade choices that it is usually easy to find the one that matches your skin tone.

I have spider veins on my legs and feet. I carefully put dermablend on and after five minutes use the dermablend setting powder.

I live in a very hot climate and you have to be able to wear sandles in the summer. Because of this product, I can wear cute sandles and feel

Amaaazing color, perfect lip gloss, a little drying...
Okay, I am a makeup junkie, and even more so a lip gloss junkie. I in no way needed any more makeup unitl I popped into my local Sephora and tried this gloss on. I gave it a few mintues, and really liked it. I walked around the store for a bit, and checked it out again. The color was soooo perfect, it was like the dream pink i've always been searching for but never knew existed. I let a bunch of my friends try it out for kicks, and it turned out a different shade every time. Yet it flattered everyone, even my friends with darker skin tones, who vow to never wear pink makeup. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it tends to dry my lips out. I don't know if this is true for everyone but I am perpetually dehydrated so it could just be me. Fact is I always get compliments when I wear this gloss. I could never justify spending $22 on a lip gloss, but for this, I would buy it ten times over.

Completely sold!!!
I have too much makeup already. Just lip gloss alone, I probably have enough to fill up the whole drawer. So I decided NOT to buy any more until they were all used up. Then my daughter showed me this new thing from Smashbox. It's clear but turns to lovely color on the lips. I tried it and fell in love. The color is perfect for my lips and my daughter's. I thought it might be too sheer but it isn't. Its color is bright enough to be used as a lipstick. I think it turns to the perfect shade according to your skin tone.

So needless to say, I had to get it. I like it not just for the color but also for the fact that my purse is lighter. Just one of these replaced lipstick and a gloss. I don't even carry lipfusion anymore.

Good coverage...not overdone
If you want a medium coverage that feels very light this is the product for you. Smashbox experts recommended it to me for a light summer look because it is a moisturizer, has an SPF of 15, and gives u coverage. If you use this over the photo finish primer then you are good to go. Not greasy at all. Just really nice and light.

more sheer foundation than moisturizer
This tinted moisturizer is one of if not the best I've ever used. The shade (light) is perfect for my fair skin: enough to cover a teeny bit of redness but not dark enough to look unnatural. It smooths on to the face easily and lasted me all day. It doesn't feel "moisturizing" per se. I wouldn't wear this without wearing a moisturizer underneath. But it did look nice all day. I love that this comes in more than one shade. If you want to have a very natural look but need a sheer bit of coverage that also contains sunscreen this is the product for you. If you are buying online I recommend going a shade darker than you think you will need.

Great appearance, limited color choices
I've been using an earlier incarnation of this product, Smashbox's Cooling Tint and I loved it. It originally came in a much larger tube and since I didn't use it daily, it lasted a very long time. By the time I needed to replace it, it had become "Sheer Focus." I bought the Medium, which in a sampling, looked fine on my skin. However, when I used it the next day over my entire face, it was very obvious (in the car mirror) that my face was a different color than my neck -- too dark.

When I returned it, they explained that luminous has pretty much no color and is sheer, so I got the light, which has turned out to be just a teensy bit too light.

Ideally (and if I had the $ for it) I would have bought both the light and the medium and created my own "custom" blend.

There is a nice smoothness to this product that doesn't make your face too matte or too shiny, a nice in-between kind of state.
